CNJ Builders is a father and son company built on experience, sacrifice, and a decision to come home.
Chris started building at 19 years old. His first house was hands-on, real-world construction. Over the years he worked across Canada, including pipeline work, building not just houses but a deep understanding of how projects succeed and how they fail.
Nic took a different path at first. After graduating university, he moved to Halifax and worked in sales for a plastics company. But something was missing. Home mattered. Family mattered. Building something real mattered.
One phone call in Nic's Halifax apartment changed everything.
Nic called Chris and said, “Let’s do this for real.”
He moved back home. They started with small jobs, decks, renovations, whatever came through the door. One job turned into two. Two turned into five. Soon they were not just working, they were hiring. What started as odd jobs became a structured company with systems, processes, and standards.
That is how CNJ Builders was born.
